I got to thinking about this today when my son asked me what my favorite TV show was when i was a kid. I told him that i used to have to get up and change the channel and that we had about 7 different channels. He was pretty much in dislbelief of such barbaric conditions in which i had to grow up!
My favorite show by far was Ultraman.

For a brief moment in time, my favorite show from my youth was the short lived NBC series, Misfits of Science. I couldn't get enough of it! It starred a very young Courtney Cox, Dean Paul Martin and Kevin Peter Hall. Not a very star-loaded cast, but I just fell in love with the show during it's one-year stint in 1985.
I was eight years old in 1985, so that was right about the time I started really enjoying television. I'd say Miami Vice was up there on my list. I always thought Crockett and Tubbs were the coolest cats ever and the music from the show was always cutting edge.
The A-Team certainly makes the cut along with MacGyver. The writers for both of those shows were pretty creative with all of the gadgets and creations they came up with. Quantum Leap is up there on my list. So far it's mostly an NBC du jour of television shows! Kinda shows you which stations were in touch with the youth of this country back in the 80's. While stations like CBS were showing Murder She Wrote and Dallas, shows that appealed to an older generation, stations like NBC and ABC were putting out shows that were more hip and crisp for a younger crowd.
I kinda like the Yogi Bear Show (with Booboo, of course). Other favorites - Three Stooges, Tooter the Turtle, Huckleberry Hound. Fractured Fairy Tales, Pepe Le Pew.

Any of the bizarre shows from Sid and Marty Krofft.
H.R. Pufnstuff, The Bugaloos, Land of the Lost, etc.
Lidsville was my favorite.
This show was truly bizarre even for Sid and Marty Kroft. A land populated by gigantic walking, talking hats(!) with Charles Nelson Riley as an evil (and campy) magician named Hoodoo. The Rocky and Bullwinkle show is right up their too, along with Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp.

Mighty Morphing Power Rangers! Coolest show ever! I got in a lot of trouble with the power rangers, I was a huge fan. I would chase around my brother with a hockey stick pretending I was a power ranger.
And I must admit, as a toddler I watched Barney. I also watched Sesame Street, but that was(and still is ) cool.
