UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS (8)
Drew Brees QB
Eric Downing DT
Bob Hallen C-G
Leon Johnson RB
Zeke Moreno LB
Carlos Polk LB
Bobby Shaw WR

I think they should sign Brees, he had success and relying on an old Flutie or a practical rookie isnt a good idea. Chatman should also be signed IMO, he was very good when he relieved LT. The only significant one left would be Wilson IMO.

It means the teams have til like March 1st i think it is to get them a new contract or theyll be unrestricted.

EDIT: oh, and they also have to have 2 or 3 years or fewer experience

I think they should sign: Wilson, Brees, Chatman, Moreno, maybe Osgood, and obviously Gates. I'm not sure about some of those defensive linemen, I've never heard of them before. But if they were key in San Diego's awesome rush defense this year then maybe they should be re-signed as well.

However if the Bolts believe they have the future in Clinton Hart then I guess they wouldn't have to re-sign Wilson...but it's always nice to have a vet that knows as much as he does on your defense.

Brees and Gates will both command a ton of money. Obviously sign Gates, but let go of Brees. Too much money wrapped up in Rivers and Brees isn't necessarily a franchise player. Remember the type of years he had before this one, his contract year....

DJF... remember how many year Brees had a line before this year... Brees is a picket QB. He NEVER had a line. But yes, Brees should be franchised, and one of the two should be traded.
