If the Pats win, it will have been a pretty good year for Massachusetts (except the whole election thing). Does anybody know how often a baseball and football team from the same general area have both won their respective championships?
The only one I can think of offhand was the A's and niners back in '89.

yea the only thing that has made the elections bareble for me was the sox win 2 weeks earlier and the ongoing success of the patriots. otherwise it would've been a very depressing fall. oh well maybe bush will screw up royally w/ his social security agenda (ie clintons & health care in the 90's) and the dems will get some seats back in the midterm elections.
ok way too much politics for a football post.
GO PATS!!!! SB CHAMPS XXXVI XXXVIII XXXIX
