Family Guy is... and was.. huge. It was the contraversy surrounding it that got it cancelled.

Yeah I've definitely gotten more hooked on Futurama lately...they need some new episodes of that. It's a different kind of humor but I like it better. The new Simpsons episodes just aren't what they used to be.

I agree. The Simpsons have been caught in a downward spiral in the last few seasons. As great as the show was, it'd be smart for them to call it quits no before they embarrass themselves more.

The show has been in steady decline for at least 3 years. They have nothing left, the current writers suck, and they should have gone out on top. Instead, they leave us with crap like last night. You are lucky if you get a chuckle out of the Simpsons anymore. I think the major problem is that they are getting way too preachy on social issues, mainly ones against Republicans. How many Fox News jokes can they do? I swear to God, there is one every episode. Yeah, we get it, we figured it out by ourselves a long time ago that they lean conservative, you can stop force feeding it to us and calling it humor. And then the Passion of the Christ part was just unbelievably stupid.

Yeah, The Simpsons is just awful now. The best thing about the older episodes was that each episode had a meaningful plot line and the jokes surrounded it. Now they just try too hard for jokes, and they aren't funny anyways.

Then they just play the whole "Homer is stupid" card way too much. I mean, in the older episodes Homer wasn't the brightest guy, but he had some good ideas and taught his kids things here and there.

Yeah, like "Never try." :-D . I have heeded that advice for the rest of my life. Oh well, I have the first 5 seasons on DVD and 3-5 are excellent seasons.
