No Franchise tag for LaMont jordan

Postby Keyser_WV » Thu Feb 10, 2005 12:42 pm

From cbs sportsline

LaMont Jordan, RB NYJ

News: The New York Daily News reports the Jets will place their franchise tag on John Abraham, not LaMont Jordan.

Analysis: Jordan will become an unrestricted free agent. The Oakland Raiders will make a serious push to sign him.

Wish I hadn't dropped him last year. I would think he would put up decent numbers as a starter.

Jets know what they're doing. Abraham is the MVP of that team.

Now if they can just get a QB. ;-)

Was that "whoosh" the sound of Jordan flying up draft boards?

Grabbed him late in both the MIKL and NNKL seasons... hopefully he lands somewhere that he can make a definite impact (Seattle? :-? ).

He's looked pretty good in the limited amount of time that I've seen him play. Should be interesting to see where he ends up and how much he's signed for...

Smart move by the Jets to tag Abraham over Jordan and good news for fantasy owners as Jordan should make good contributions next year

Glad to hear it!! John Abraham is awesome, expect 13-15 sacks out of him next year.

Now it looks like Curtis is going to be given a shot at going after Emmitt's record.

Also looks as though the Jets will draft a RB. Does Ronnie Brown have a chance to fall that far?

The Raiders want everybody. My best guess is that he's going to the Cardinals.

Very interesting...Keeping Abraham will be huge for them. IF the choice was one or the other, I would have kept Abraham too...
