Draft!!!

If the vikings hold on to moss, who would you like to see them take in the draft. Personaly id like to see them take Carlos Rogers with the 18th pick. I think hes gonna be a solid corner and should be available. Another choice i would think Anttaj Hawthorne. If they dont fill a big dt over free agency i think hawthorne could be a nice grab here.
Lemme know what cha think

Sean Cody if we stay where we're at.

If we can somehow move up, I want Antrel Rolle or Derrick Johnson, in that order.

I think if we don't trade, we will get either Antajj Hawthorne or Sean Cody. I like Hawthorne better, Cody is more of a DE. If we can trade up, I want Derrick Johnson, badly. We can get a CB in free agency, or later in the draft. There are a lot of good corners coming out this year. I think we should grab a guard later on the first day, because Dave Dixon will be retiring soon. But I think our biggest concerns are: linebackers, DT, and secondary, in that order.

Cotrell wants to turn the defense into a 3-4. A DT in the first round should not be our top priority, imo.

It definitely would be, but there isn't a good DT for the 3-4 available early. Hawthorne is a Hovan type player, a quick DT that would play end if he was a little lighter. We need a 320+ pounder that can just absorb blocks and let the LB's hit the holes. I don't think we'll be able to get one in the draft. If we draft Hawthorne, we will stick with the 4-3.
