Looks like he is a free agent. Do u guys think he will have any fantasy value if he signs with someone with a decent offense?

I would say yes, IMO. He is a very talented WR but was lackluster due to Bollar and the Raven's non-existant downfield attack. Hopefully he gets himself on a team where he can perform.

He's a very good possession receiver, so someone will pick him up. I don't see him suddenly becoming a #1 option for any team (outside of maybe Cleveland :-b ). Wherever he goes, I still wouldn't count on any fantasy success from him...no more than a possible bye-week filler. :-/

Haha... funny Mercer. Well he would actually become a # 1 WR if he went to San Fran. I am not even kidding about that.

By the way, we have Bryant so he would become # 2 :-b ;-D

No way I draft this stiff or pick him up in free agency before the 2005 season starts. But if in week one he catches 100 yards and a TD, I'll surely use a roster spot on him!

Lloyd is coming on strong, Wilson isn't horrible, and Woods should be pretty good soon. Why is SFs corps so bad? I think they could have one of the better corps in coming years.

Its not really that they are bad, its the QBs that are making them look bad

From watching Johnson and the Ravens play, I can tell that he has great potential, but he hasn't had the chance to release it yet. I don't see him as a #1, but he could play #2 in SF, SD, NYJ, NYG, etc etc. I think he'd be a great asset to whichever team drafts him.

Lloyd would/will be the #1 in San Fran...the dude has skills. I almost put "maybe SF," but I think Lloyd has more total ability than Johnson. :-/

potential? this guy's best years are behind him. He's only 29, I believe, but I can't see this guy having better than a 650 yard, 3 TD season.

He'll be another #3 receiver on some team, making solid contribution, but nothing fantasy worthy, in my opinion.

And I can't see why last season would leave anyone with optimism. 373 yards with one TD? Not great...
