I guess I can relate to how Hawks fans feel about Shaun. There are quite a few Colts fans that feel the same way about Edgerrin in Indy. Nonetheless, say the Hawks don't sign Shaun...do you Hawks fans feel Maurice Morris is capable, is free agency your best bet or do you look to the draft to find the next cog in the machine?
I'm not a SeaHawks fan, but I think they have to look to free agency. Edge of course would be the best available back, but Lamont Jordan is good enough to provide them with a ground threat to counter their passing attack. The problem with looking into the draft is that they would have to trade up to get one of the big three.
I dont follow the Seahawks too in depth but from what I've been hearing is that Morris is supposed to be a stud in waiting. Am I way off base here or is there some validity to that statement?

Huff won't be offered I believe. My guess is they'll look to developing Koutouvides and end up starting him next season.

Only 3 leagues this year. No sense in rooting for everyone in the NFL.

My point was that there's 7 other starters that need to be resigned. Some will have to be let go, but I'm going to hypothesize that 2-3 of those starters salaries this the next year could fit under Alexander's salary if he were tagged.
I fully expect them to go after a lesser RB and let that guy compete with Morris. Henry or Jordan.
I hope Matt can get on the ball and sign so we can use the tag on Alexander then start looking at draft compensation in trade.
As far as the Oline goes, really the only concern remaining is Tobeck. It's nice to keep continuity between the C and QB. It's no secret that Hass wants Tobeck to stay. Wether the FO sees fit to offer him, well who knows.
The right side has been a revolving door. With Walter Jones holding out preseason after preseason, we've sacrificed Womack or Hill and others to duping the LT spot during camp. Now that won't be an issue, and hopefully we can get some stability to a nagging spot on the offense.

Well if the FO feels MoMo is capable of holding down the job, they sure haven't shown it. Holmgren told Morris he'd get touches this season. And he didn't.

Seattle will most likely sign a FA MLB like Hartwell or Bell.. If not they will probably draft Crowder if he is available or another LB.

You may not be far off. I think the big wrench in the plans will be how much Lucas will demand, because there are going to be a lot of good FA corners out there. In a worst-case scenario, we strap Bobby Taylor on to a treadmill and get him back into shape and shove him in there if we cannot bring back Lucas.
I doubt Shaun will be back. The team would be better off spending the money somewhere for that linebacker we needed all of last season, be it Hartwell, Bell or Julian Peterson (yes aww, I hope we land him too). If that does not happen, I'd be surprised to not see Channing Crowder in a Hawks uni next year, despite his off-field issues.
It's good to see our best player locked up to a long-term deal. Hopefully we'll here a Hasselbeck contract report within the next couple of weeks.

This is good news for the Hawks. As stated, now they have a tag to use on Hass, and they are free to let SA go where he will and they can sign....wait for it....Edge!Sounds great right? They wouldn't lose much at all(if anything)at RB,still keep the QB that knows the system, and have a locked up LT.Now if they can only find a way to get K-Rob to be the waterboy instead of a WR(using the receiver part loosely),and look at a decent wideout, this team could be moving in the right direction.
