Dillon complained for years about Paul Brown Stadium's field...now he got his wish and upgraded from 22 to 21.

Well, at least the Steelers didn't have the worst natural turf in the NFL... :-° No big surprise that all the domes and cold weather teams are at the bottom, but what the heck is up with Oakland being so bad? You'd think good old Al would be able to have a nice surface for his field in sunny California! :-B

Good thing the Colts are getting new turf in 2005! Apparently, we're going to get the same kind of turf the Lions use at Ford Field. That should bump us up quite a few notches.

The Vikings (28) added the new Field Turf last year. I think a lot of this was based on players that haven't played in a certain stadium since a renovation.

Could be, but I think it's the weather...grass really doesn't grow well when it's 10 degrees outside even if you have a heated field underneath (which I think Pittsburgh does). That's why I think all the cold weather outdoor cities and domes that still have artificial turf got knocked down.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but some of these names are wrong.

29. Oakland Aleameda County Colisium: Oakland Raiders
31. Hoosier Dome: Indianapolis Colts

Did the Chargers get a new home and that was the name of the Raiders staudium correct?

"I'm disappointed we didn't finish No. 1," Martz said sarcastically.

Looks like astroturf may be completely gone for next year. Now if we can just get rid of all these stupid domes...
