Smith signs with TB

Johnson is gone for sure out of TB. Simms will more than likely be the starter there next year with Griese, if he chooses to stay there, being the backup. This Smith signing, heck, him being in the NFL at all anymore, is beyond me.

Sidebar here, is it just me or has none of the QBs that Tedford coached in college amounted to anything as a pro? Outside of Trent Dilfer who had some marginal success, I'd say his track record of producing pros is not that solid at all. I'm worried to death about the 49ers grabbing Aaron Rodgers at 1.1 and him being another of Tedford's good looking college QBs with 0 pro potential.
