David Boston?

Postby MCG321 » Sun Feb 20, 2005 1:26 pm

One of the biggest enigmas every season, David Boston is always a question mark. So, I'll bring him up nice and early.

Will he be staying in Miami? Will he finally have another impact season? I always fall in love with his potential, but then I get a nice wake-up call to keep me from drafting him.

I really can't see him getting back to his full potential. If it's not steroids, it's injuries. If it's not that, it's lack of motivation. He just doesn't have the desire to be an elite player and I don't think he's worth a draft slot. Unless he's still on the board extremely late, I'd take a pass on him. Isn't he also going to be serving a drug related suspension at the start of 2005?

Huge talent. But he's proven you can't afford to use a pick on him unless it's a late round flier. I haven't seen or heard any news on what the Dolphins are doing with him or what his condition is at this point.

i wouldnt take that guys unless i was in a super deep league, it was a late pick..and i was hurting on WRs. he has been absolutely worthless since showing flashes of talent back in arizona.

While the Dolphins had not called receiver David Boston as of last week, they have already met with receiver Derrius Thompson and reaffirmed their commitment. Dolphins offensive coordinator Scott Linehan and receivers coach Charlie Baggett worked for the Vikings when they made Thompson an offer two years ago. Former Dolphins receivers coach Jerry Sullivan (now with the 49ers) did not recommend the Dolphins keep Boston when coach Nick Saban asked his opinion.

Could it be that Sullivan is gonna make a push to get him in SF?

I dont think Boston will be any good but hes a sleeper because everyone seems to have forgotten him. If he stays in Miami I think his production is limited with Chambers and the surrounding cast.
