I don't ever remember this being brought up and I think it sounds like something that would be fun to do. I often find myself saying "what does that mean?" or "how the heck did he come up with that"?
I'll start it off. Azrael has several meanings to me.
First of all I just thought it sounded cool (Az-ray-el).
Second it was the Gargamel's cat on the Smurfs and also a one-time cat of mine's name.
Thirdly, it was the name of the character that took over for Batman after Bane had broken Batman's back in the comics. Batman eventually took over several years later after tricking Azrael into taking his body armor off because the armor and Azrael were kind of cultivated by this cult. When he put the armor on, it brainwashed him into this 'supersoldier' mental state. His skills were far superior to Batman's so Batman had to get him to take the armor off to snap out of it. Feel free to call me a dork at this point!
Finally, I read somewhere the name means "avenging angel"

im the biggest leafs fan there is, and everyone my age liked to throw 69 onto the end of anything they made (email address etc), so i mixed things up a bit by going with the 96. clever eh?
When I signed up for the cafe, it was sometime in May. I was pumped that we got Keyshawn from Tampa Bay, but yet, there were many haters (and rightfully so). He was called MeShawn and I thought I'd use it as a joke. But low and behold, I ended up staying around so now I'm MeShawn.

I played AD&D for years in the 70's and 80's. I was joining the local BBS's(bulletin board systems for you youngins) and wanted to come up with a semi-cool nickname. I grabbed "Deities & Demigods" from my AD&D pile and flipped through it until I came across Hastur, "He who must not be named". I thought it was perfect for a nickname. It just stuck when the internet age dawned.
