I also own Coles and can't find anything possitive about this. Where is he going to go (or can go) that would be productive?

How's that? He scored just one touchdown with the Redskins last season, so just about anywhere else would be an improvement in the scoring department.

Coles is a quality WR and anywhere he lands, with a decent QB, will improve his stats for next year. JMO

i think this ups his value. he is a talented reciever...maybe just not a good fit in the redskins offense. i think a new environment will boost his numbers quite a bit..like duran stated...its not gonna get much worse than last year.

Coles is damaged goods. The only reason he has not opted for surgery is because he probably wants to get that one last contract signed and in place before he risks his career. Face it, Coles has never been the same WR after he broke his toe early in the 2003 season. He used to have the cuts that a guy his size needs to get open in the NFL and he just doesn't have that anymore. Sure he has the hands to catch 90 passes, but do you think Joe Gibbs' scheme and the poor play of Brunell were the only factor in Coles 10 ypc average last year?

Looks like they may have to up Portis to both running back and quarterback. :-?

This definitely raises Coles's value...but I think if he was able to last just one more year in Gibbs's offense without Rod Gardner and with Ramsey starting the whole year, he could've put up huge numbers. Oh well. I think Kansas City should go after him, it's just a gut feeling but I see Coles succeeding in that offense. Plus, compared to many of the other wide receivers that are free agents, Coles will be cheap.

7th overall in the NFL in receptions. On one of the worst passing teams in the NFL.

The guy had only 1 TD last year. That can't happen again.

He's still got upside. On one wheel or not.

I do. If Coles gets the right gig, he could be a top 5 receiver next year. Let's wait and see.

The only gig out there can can support top 5 numbers is KC.

Even with his toe issues, he played well last year. His QB could not throw the ball... hell his only TD came from Portis! Add to the fact that Gibbs does not throw the ball down field and you have a frustrated Coles.

Let's just hope that he lands on a team with a crappy defense where they have to play from behind.... (kc) to support that top 5 prediction.
