Bye Bye Bennett

Postby Bennett4prez » Mon Feb 21, 2005 1:56 pm

I'm hearing more and more about a trade involving Michael Bennett going to the Arizona Cardinals. Bennett would be a GREAT fit for Denny's explosive offense. It looks as though the Vikings are holding off to get more than the Cardinals are offering.

Please, don't let it be so! :~( :~( :~(

I think the move could be a good one for both sides.Onterrio,Moore and Moe should be plenty of firepower for that team, and could get some help on that pitiful D and really put them in contention next year.I think everyone can see the upside for the Cards,so there really is no reason to get into that.

It depends on who they get in return.

Well, he's definitely expendable - I think Onterrio can be a feature back. Denny obviously likes him, so I guess he'd be a good fit for the Cards. Seems alright to me.

Any links to this? Or is it sometihng you heard on the radio B4P?
Well that would definately raise the value of Bennett. You would hope they get something decent in return. I cant see them getting anything higher than a third rounder though.

If I were Arizona, I'd rather have Travis Henry.

I agree. The Bills' asking price must still be too high. But with Bennett, Shipp and Croom, the Cards would be OK.

Weren't the Bills asking for a 2nd rounder, and weren't the Cards asking for a 2nd rounder for LJ Shelton? It just seems so perfect for both teams that that trade would go through, as each team would love to save their draft picks and acquire much needed veterans.

Bennett would have a good place though if he went to Arizona. I like his odds of producing.

For what they may have to give up to get Henry, Bennett is not that bad of an option. Only downside is they'll either be stuck doing RBBC or Shipp and Bennett will have to battle for the starting role. Getting Henry, however, would at least be straight forward handing over the job.
