Wide receiver Jerry Porter, a five-year veteran who would have been among the top unrestricted players at his position, has reached agreement on a multi-year contract extension that will keep him with the Oakland Raiders, ESPN.com has learned.


Financial details of the contract, which Porter likely will sign Tuesday afternoon, were not immediately available. It is expected, however, that Porter will receive $8 million-$10 million in guarantees. Negotiations had accelerated in recent days as the Raiders made the retention of Porter a priority.
