This past week I watched Rocky II, III, and IV. I think the first movie can firmly claim the title of best movie of the series, but the rest definitely arent bad either, nice enjoyable movies.

Both are great and incredibly deep movies, though different in their respective depth. Blade Runner you can watch twice with two different perspectives, and have two entirely different movies. And both perspectives are not proven right or wrong. On the other hand, Mystic River manipulates your perspectives throughout one viewing. Plus, the acting is top-notch. Eastwood even threw in a cameo to his buddy "Tuco" from the GB&U!
Two awesome movies. Defintely recommended.
I can't believe I've been taking so long to see this Eastwood movie given how much of a fan I am of his. Million Dollar Baby definitely next on the list!
Thanks for the heads up on Mystic River...I do want to see that. I hope to get my grubby little paws on that here shortly.
God, I love watching Blade Runner with someone who hasn't watched it before. I love the movie so much that my fantasy team is called the "Blade Runners". Definitely a 10/10 movie, IMO.

Yeah, some cable station ran them all this past week. I watched parts of I, II and III - they were all pretty good. I liked seeing Mr. T before he turned into a joke, he was one mean dude. I thought Apollo overdid it with the continual "eye of the tiger! eye of the tiger!" in Rocky 3 but it was still very enjoyable as you say.
I watched Flight of the Phoenix last night. I thought it was a very good movie, and for the most part there wasn't anything way out of place, any movie is going to have those parts where your are like,''it's a movie'' when they have parts that are kind of unbelieveable.
Flight of the Phoenix gets a 8/10.
Has anybody seen Anchorman? I haven't heard much about it, but really want to see it, if you've seen it what did you think about it.
joshyboy72 wrote:Yeah, Anchorman was a hilarious movie...Will Ferrell was great. I'd give it a 9 out of 10.
Good, because I put it on hold yesterday.
This must be a "love it or hate it" type movie, because I hated it. I actually gave up on it 2/3 of the way through the movie it was so bad. I like Will Ferrell and dumb humor (I loved Dumb and Dumber, Something About Mary, etc.) but couldn't get into this one.
