Mission Impossible III - 7/10

Pretty good summer-popcorn flick.
Lots of action and a good storyline.
Philip Seymour Hoffman was great although he could have used a little more screen time.

Watched Capote yesterday. I wasn't too familiar with his work or life, but I had some a general idea who he was. I guess I can see why Seymour Hoffman won an Oscar for this particular role. Overall the movie was pretty interesting, but it was odd because there was no real protagonist. At the end of the movie, I wasn't sure how to feel...sad, depressed, happy...they made the bad guys so sympathetic at the end...it was a weird feeling.

The best part of the movie was the Harper Lee character...I had no idea they were childhood friends.

7/10
Doesn't it suck to get beat at Fantasy Football...by a girl?

The wife and I watched A History of Violence over the weekend with Viggo Mortenson, Maria Bello and Ed Harris.

Good story line which kept us intrigued throughout the movie - some rather racy sex scenes between Mortenson and Bello (she is hot) but the only downer on this movie is the end. It did not make sense and after taking the audience on a good thrill ride the ride stops abruptly.

7/10

But didnt the two racy scenes make you uncomfortable to a certain extent, especially if you were to see it in a theature. I think thats why they were made so prominent in the movie, just to stir emotion. I liked that movie a lot. ;-D

Not really b/c it wasn't like watching a porn movie. I could understand the second scene but the first one seemed sorta out of place in my opinion. I know it was part of the movie but I think they could have done it a bit more tasteful I guess. Other than the end we both really enjoyed the movie.

First off, how is Tombstone overrated? And second, where did you hear that Russell's stache was fake?

i had always heard about "what a great movie" Tombstone was and when i finally watched it, my thought was "eh, this is OK". just my personal opinion

that thing had to be fake, and if it wasnt, it looked pretty ridiculous on him...i think that might be part of the reason for my opinion on the movie

Val Kilmer was top notch though

That movie had so many quotable lines, though. It was a classic for that alone, IMO. ;-D
