a group of my friends went and saw it and said it was better than the first. they said they actually jumped and screamed too. ill probably go and check it out this week, i enjoyed the first one for sure tho
The Manchurian Candidate was on the history channel tonight. The original with Frank Sinatra, not Denzel. Holy crap that's a good movie. QUEEN OF DIAMONDS. Damn, whenever I'm playing cards and I see that red queen I'll think of this flick. I love the two old-fashioned blonde chicks, that girl from Psycho was one of them. But what really held my attention was the rampant McCarthyism and the whole Cold War setting. I can't get enough of that stuff. I can see why this movie was hidden away for 20 years when JFK got shot. Very good, unpredictable movie.
CBS also had the world premier of Spring Break Shark Attack. Best movie ever! Well.. not really but at least it was serviceable as an unintentional comedy. "Oh my god, there's a herd of a hundred sharks heading for those people twenty feet from shore! Instead of warning them let's run all the way to the dock and grab a boat, not to rescue them but to lure the sharks away!" I kept wanting to turn it off, but they kept getting camera shots of that Lindsay Lohan-lookalike's cleavage..
my girlfriend was set on having me watch a chunk of from justin to kelly after i told her about what happened to ljthockey in themovie mock. let me tell you guys...it is just as bad as its ranked. it is easily one of the stupidist movies ive ever seen9form the 5 minutes i watched). i saw a bunch of people from old american idol shows doing choreographed song and dance on the beach. im gonna have nightmares tonight
I also caught the Spring Break Shark Attacks. Didn't think it was all that great, especially for the 9 million commercials that were on hyping it up.
Funny you brought that up about the going to get a boat Nilmerf. What I thought was funny was that people could see the sharks with binoculars, but not any of the people near where the sharks were noticed anything. I would have thought someone would have seen something.
I guess it wasn't all that bad, I just didn't enjoy it all that much.
My buddy and I caught about ten minutes of that Shark Attack Spring Break, or whatever it's called. Yikes... aside from the T&A factor, that really had nothing going for it.
'CUNA-MANIA IS RUNNING WILD! "You will be a king here, instead of a peasant at the Cafe."
I saw Shaun of the Dead tonight. Quite entertaining and definitely funny. Also some cool special features on the DVD. There's 3 storyboard plot hole fillers that are funny and a great outakes reel. 8/10

The Aviator. Downloaded the screener dvd rip . Not a big fan of illegal pirating, but hey, I own 600+ dvds, I gotta treat myself once in a while. I figure I put enough back into that damned business.
9/10. Huge fan of Scorsese. Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Casino, Taxi Driver.
The sets and visual color tones look awesome. It looks as if Leo is Scorsese's next DeNiro seeing how they did GONY, The Aviator, and have a mobster movie planned for next year.
The Incredables - Picked up the movie over the weekend, and watched it with my son. Great movie. I have to agree with somone else's opinion, that this was the best animated movie I have ever seen. 9/10
The Notebook - Watched this with my wife. Starts off slow, but gets you into it later on. I actually liked it. I wouldn't sit down and watch it again, but it was definitly worth watching once. 5/10
