I purchased American Psycho: Killer Collector's edition on a whim, and I'm glad I did.

American Psycho-8.5/10 Bale gives an amazing performance as the wall street yuppie/inner pyschopath. The movie is hard to catergorize- it's almost a satirical "morbid" comedy with some extreme violence/sex thrown in for good measure. It could very easily be seen as a character study kinda movie. The ending was confusing(at least to me) and certainly surprised me; still debating whether or not it could have been done better. Either way, good movie. I'm glad I purchased it.... and the case is cool ;-D

if you liked it, then go read the book by Bret Easton Ellis, way better then the movie, and it'll help explain a lot - the only book i've ever read where i've actually GAGGED reading it - one of the most disturbing books ever, imo - partly because of how they juxtapose the violence with his random thoughts on fashion, food, women - that is so chilling, his blasé attitude

peace,
richard

for all the AP fans if you want to see what ,imo, is an even more messed up movie see Rules of Attraction. james van der beek plays patrick bateman's brother sean and it's written by the same guy that wrote AP.it is seriously the only movie i had to stop after about the first say 45 minutes and actually start drinking to finish.

correct me if i am wrong, but bret easton ellis is a woman. :-?

nope.

I saw the prestige last friday and i must say I thought it was well done highly entertaining a little too draggy at the end.

christian bale had a little eye booger mole that irked me through out.

i found the twists to be predictable. the one that reall got me was who played Tesla. which I didn't find out till the credits.

michael caine generally annoys me but was in his element in this flick.7 1/2 out of 10

freaking tickets for the a regular show are 10 bucks, I spent 31 dollars on soda pop corn and 2 tickets. 8-o
dinner and a movie these days will land you in the poor house. :-t

I watched "Blackhawk Down" again tonight on DVD. It's pretty amazing how many of the actors playing soldiers I can recognize now from various movies and TV shows since. Also noticed the music was way too similar to Ridley Scott's "Gladiator" but I guess that was because he did those two one after the other (I think).

Still a great movie though and the book was great too. ;-D

I just got back from seeing Casino Royale and i thought it was pretty good. A normal bond flick but it didn't have all of the crazy gadgets like the other movies, just a lot of bentleys.

Yeah I saw that like a week ago- I liked it- I really didn't miss the gadgets that much, because in a lot of the other ones it got to be too much after a little while.

This break I've seen Stranger Than Fiction and Stay Alive
Stay Alive was a decent scary movie, but a few things were just plain stupid.
Stranger Than Fiction had it's funny parts, but was actually a bit of a serious movie, and ended up being good ;-D
