Very good movie, nice plot line and a great cast. ;-D

From what I understand there's supposed to be a prequel and a sequel to this movie. Sequel, of course, featuring a lot more Markie Mark.

The Hong Kong version has a sequel I think. No idea if Hollywood is going to follow that lead, as they've deviated from the Asian versions in other movies after the first one before. I would expect at least one more movie though, based on how well The Departed did in theaters.

flotsamnjetsam wrote:Just watched True Romance, the unrated director's cut. For those who don't know, this was the 2nd movie Quentin Tarantino wrote (after one of my other favorites, Reservoir Dogs). I really like this movie and the unrated director's cut is awesome. I highly recommend this movie to all those who haven't seen it. It's a violent movie which should be expected by Tarantino. It's just an awesome movie with a lot of twists and turns. Plus, check out this cast! Some only have very small roles but still...what a cast!

Christian Slater
Patricia Arquette
Christopher Walken
Dennis Hopper
Gary Oldman
Brad Pitt
Val Kilmer
Michael Rapaport
Chris Penn
Tom Sizemore
Samuel L. Jackson
Bronson Pinchot
James Gandolfini
Jack Black (small part that only shows up in the deleted scenes)

If you like Reservoir Dogs & Pulp Fiction but never saw True Romance, check it out. You won't be disappointed. ;-D

Geez, that's an incredible cast. 8-o

No doubt. It stars Slater & Arquette and like I said...some of the other actors have very small parts but that cast is unreal.

The scene with Hopper and Walken is one of the best scenes ever in a movie....no doubt.
;-D

That's by far my favorite part also Met. ;-D

You should read the book if you liked the movie. ;-D

I watched Smokin Aces the other night. Plot twist was pretty disappointing. Movie overall was pretty disappointing. I was hoping for more gunfights at least.

Just got back from seeing Black Snake Moan...

I give it an 8/10....Samuel L. Jackson gives an incredible performance as lazarus and Ms. Ricci does admirable as well. The movie and the characters just got under my skin, in a good way ;-D ........ oh yeah christina ricci is very, very sexy in this movie. Good stuff.

Flags of Our Fathers (7/10)

Good movie, but had a choppy storyline. Was just a little hard to follow. Overall, I really enjoyed it. Good acting, great battle scenes, just definitely NOT a movie for families or the faint of heart. Lots of blood and gore which didn't bother me but as I said, not for those with a soft stomach. ;-D

I watched Remember the Titans again today. It has Denzel Washington in it.

The wife and I watched "Click" over the weekend with Adam Sandler, Kate Beckinsale and Christopher Walken.

I have to admit it's one of the better Adam Sandler movies. Good storyline (which could cause one to stop and ponder - esp. those of us with kids), hot babe and humorous scenes.

8 / 10
