cardiac cats wrote:true logan, I've heard and read about the missing reels being there solely to give you that feeling of an old worn out flick, but I still think there was some "actual" missing footage- I don't know- we'll see on the DVD. I just find it hard to believe that the lapdance scene wasn't filmed.
Yea, there's some cut footage that will likely make the DVD. However, you might get your wish to see the cut footage before the DVDs hit. Miramax apparently realized that Easter weekend wasn't the best time to release a 3 and a half hour movie glorifying campy violence and bloody gore. Seems like they're very unhappy with the weekend box office numbers and thinking that Grindhouse should be recut into 2 separate movies with added footage. I suppose any concrete info of that happening may come after another week goes by with Miramax closely watching to see if they make more money the second weekend.
Saw Casino Royale last night. Thought it was awesome. Great to see Bond when he 1st started. I thought it was the best Bond movie in a while and I really do like most of them. Highly recommended if you like Bond movies.

I sooooo agree. Bond movies are the bestest, I watch them all the time and whenever AMC has those Bond month marathons. The last few Brosnon flicks were weak and Casino Royale turned out be a great and fresh change of pace.
Pretty good! I haven't seen an "action" movie in a while. I tend to shy away from that genre these days because it's gotten so corny, but I enjoyed this movie.
SPOILER AHEAD FOR MI:3
When he let the main bad guy (forget his name) shoot his "fiancee" in the head, my jaw dropped!
I was waiting for this thread to get bumped back up.
Disturbia- 7/10 pleasantly surprised. The plot itself is a little outrageous but overall it was an enjoyable film. Likable characters, some funny scenes, and some tense moments round out the package. Oh yeah and the leading chick is very hot
I went and saw 28 Weeks Later last night and i thought it was a great movie. I liked 28 days later but the sequel was even better. Definitley not a movie to take the little ones too though. lots of blood and a few scary scenes (im scared easily though).
Casino-9/10 another mob type movie from Martin Scorcese( he even says on the dvd it's almost the spiritual successor to Good Fellas). Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are great in this film; good supporting cast as well: Sharon Stone, James Woods, Don Rickles, among others. I liked how the film went into great detail on how the casino was run, how they rose to power, and ultimately what brought them down; also lots of cool mafiaso moments. Entertaining film, good stuff
