I saw Fracture last night, starring Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. It had a lot of legal jargon, but I liked it, Hopkins was at his finest and I thought it was an interesting plot.
Just watched Frailty again - excellent movie, great story. I'm not a big Matthew McConaughey fan but he was really good in this. Worth watching if ya haven't already seen it!

agree, i thought it got a little predictable, but liked it nonetheless, cuz i think most movies are pretty predictable... so i don't let that factor into my movie ratings...

I saw Pirates 3 the other night. I'm a fan of the series, and I thought this one was the best of the installment. Depp was fantastic and everyone had their own ambitions which led to many twists and turns within the plot.

Predictable? Only perhaps the Usual Suspects had a better twist at the end. Depending which piece of the surprise you're talking about, this movie while slow to start is easily worth it for a great ending.

I should really always preface my movie criticism with the fact that I ran a video store for several years. I've literally seen well over 10,000 movies... many "b" movies have twists like bigger budget movies without the publicity. so when i see things like that in bigger budgets I tend to see them coming. Every once in awhile a movie surprises me, VERY UNFORTUNATE for me... most of the time they don't... I LOVE it when they do, but it's not often... it is still a GREAT movie...

I'll give it a 9/10.
Ewww no. I agree with knapp. This one was slightly better than 2, not even close to #1.
Just watched Letters From Iwo Jima - really well done, good team effort by Eastwood/Spielberg - shows the battle from the Japanese point of view (the audio is in Japanese with English subtitles).
