The animation was impressive for the most part and the action scenes were cool ; in particular a huge showdown between beowulf and a band of sea monsters, that was freakin' sweet. Towards the end of the film things started to stale a bit, but it wasn't too bad and we get one last battle to enjoy. Deeper cast than I thought: Brendan Gleeson, John Malkovich, Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie, and Alison Lohman to name a few.

Yeah for sure.
Jessica Biel though
I agree, it was just stupid. I actually liked the premise, but it went nowhere good with the sole exception of Jessica Biel's bedroom. (which was by far the best part of the movie )
Believe it or not, I'm actually starting to like Adam Sandler as a serious actor. I saw Reign Over Me recently and where I wouldn't call it an especially good or entertaining movie, Adam Sandler did a good job acting in it. I also really liked him in Spanglish which is one of my favorite movies to come out over the last several years.

yeah I liked Spanglish a lot too.
It's too bad about the Chuck and Larry movie too, like you said the premise was good but they just tried way too hard to make it funny...dumb funny.

I'm going to see it this Friday. If you guys see it, make sure you watch the digital 3d version. It's showing in two theaters at our AMC, but only one of the theaters is Digital 3D.
