I was pleasantly surprised. I've never been a hulk fan(just indifferent), but this movie had some cool action scenes and I was thoroughly entertained. I also love the references to S.H.I.E.L.D. and Tony Stark(Iron Man).... I'm very intrigued with the Avengers plotline setup. Sure the special effects can be a bit uneven at times and there are some slow parts here and there, but overall I liked it.
decent, if unspectactular addition to the western genre. Those looking for wild gun fights and crazy horse chases will be let down; the tone of the movie is more subdued... The acting and performances were great though, especially Viggo Mortensen and Ed Harris- they had great chemistry together and were actually quite funny in the movie. However, I don't agree with the commericals declaring it the "next great western" ...A classic like Tombstone blows this out of the water.
I haven't been to the movies in awhile but I went and saw Max Payne this evening and it was definitely the worst movie I've seen in years. No plot development and a very slow pace for a supposed action movie. Save your money and see something else.

I saw Paschendalle (sp?) yesterday. Canadian made which is usually code for crapfest, but this one was surprisingly good. It's about the 3rd Battle of Ypres, otherwise known as Paschendalle (WWI). The war scenes are short (low budget) but the stuff between the war scenes wasn't nearly as boring as most war movies. They focused a lot on how society viewed men who were capable of fighting and had not enlisted to fight. Oh and the final battle scene is really well done and intense. All in all not a fantastic movie but worth seeing.

Yeah, I haven't seen it, but a couple buddies of mine said the same thing. I had planned on going at some point, but not anymore.
good tale of revenge and justice..... The set pieces were awesome as were the costumes and locations they filmed. James Caviezel was very likeable as the hero and Guy Pearce was equally as despicable as the villain. Not much else to say, it had a little bit of everything: romance, humor, action, and adventure. Although I would've liked a wee bit more action.
Saw Zack and Miri make a porno. I thought it was really funny, very entertaining throughout. Nothing spectacular, not as good as Superbad or Knocked up, but still very good.
