Has anyone seen Appaloosa? I'm sure it's been reviewed in this thread but....well there are a lot of pages.
Ok, ok.
Yes, I saw Appaloosa. Apparently it's a remake. That's all my dad likes to talk about when they remake a movie from his day. He's 71 and I suppose I'll be doing the same thing when I am his age, except I'll probably be talking about how it was remade three or four times.
Anyway, my wife and I thought it was quite good. Tombstone theme (sherrif comes into town and has to lay down the law), but not nearly as classic as Tombstone was. Still, overall, about 3.5 stars out of 5. Not great, but if it comes on HBO and there's nothing else on, I'd watch it again.

Thanks for the quick reviews guys, I didn't realize it was a remake. Personally I don't need a lot of gun play and action to enjoy a western, or any movie for that matter. I'll take top notch acting, good cinematography, and quality dialog over explosions and gun play any day. I'm probably gonna watch it later tonight or tomorrow night.

Nothing on IMDb about it beng a remake - Ed Harris wrote the screenplay (adapted from a novel), directed & stars in it. Acting is good and cinematography is really good too. I think you'll enjoy it.
