I'm a couple pages late for the Milk discussion, but saw it over the weekend and thought it was really, really good. Probably the best biopic since at least American Splendor. Actually, I think I liked it better than American Splendor, maybe the best since Malcom X.
edit: Does Schindler's List qualify as a biopic? If so, then Milk is probably the best of the genre since Schindler's List.
Pretty entertaining flick, I liked the story and the characters. Some of the characters could have been developed better(or at all) though and the story itself seems to lurch forward at times but I think it was pretty good. The costuming and set design was great and some of the shots were very well done. I also thought the gun play was very realistic and was just the right amount. Not anywhere close to the best western I've ever seen but it was good.
Zack an Miri Make a Porno
I thought it was hilarious, very crass and crude at times, but hilarious. Elizabeth Banks has become one of my favorite actresses, it seems like she's in every other movie I watch these days.
