I went to see knowing today with the wife! AND WOW!!!
You will LOVE Knowing if you fall into these categories:
a. you are a scientologist b. you like scripts that apparently were written by a 7 year old scientologist c. you appreciate special effects done by a 5 year old girl on her imac using mid 1990's video games as inspiration. d. you love nicolas cage's acting e. you loved battlefield earth to no end.
If all of these describe you... RUN, don't walk, RUN to your local theater and check it out!

hehe, it's actually not super horrible, if you were to spend more time on special effects and take out the scientology storyline (i.e. just make it about the girl who predicts everything and all the events and nic cage and his son go through what they did) ... the movie could have been quite good, very good in fact. Oh well...

Saw Aliens vs. Monsters with my family today. It wasn't bad, but I thought it would be a lot better/funnier. Seth Rogan's blob character had me laughing out loud on several occasions, but this isn't as near as good as some of the other cartoon movies that have come out in the last 5 years or so.

Rachel Getting Married so i had picked this up to see Anne Hathaway's Oscar nominated performance. it was pretty good...the movie on the other hand, not so much. it was shot to look like home video, which worked because i got the feeling i was there, like i was part of the party...however, had i been i would have left because all of the people were lame (well, maybe i would have got hammered and tried to bang Anne Hathaway). i guess i'm just not into the whole free-spirit, we have an Indian themed wedding even though neither of us are Indian wedding. someone on IMDB said it best
some review on IMDB wrote: I also feel that many of the scenes, particularly the wedding party, went on way, way too long. If I had wanted to watch my friend's long, boring, amateur wedding video, I could have stayed home and saved the price of admission.

The movie, The Da Vinci Code, can never match that of the book, by Dan Brown. But it was still pretty good. On May 15th (or so), Angels and Demons comes out in the theater. This was another awesome book also written by Brown. It's an easy read and intriguing with its puzzles and hidden meanings, etc. I definitely recommend that you read this book before going to see the movie. And hopefully the movie is a good one!
