Saw a couple new movies today, one in theaters and one back in my dorm.

The Men Who Stare At Goats

So. Freaking. Bizarre. The cast was great, and it was funny throughout, but there's little understandable plot to speak of, and... I dunno. It's just so freaking weird. Some of it is cheesy, some of it is creative. If you're wondering whether to see it in theaters, I'd say it's okay to wait for DVD. I came out of that movie thinking "what the hell did I just watch?" And there isn't a ton of action. It's just... weird. I know I'm saying that a lot, but that's what it is.

Up

Pixar still doing what Pixar does best: making excellent movies.

Yeah - I teared up when he started walking around his house alone, after his wife died. :~(

Is it that good? I was avoiding watching a Nicole Kidman, chick flick.

Just saw 2012. Much like most of the end of the world movies. Decent action and acting was not horrible.

I'm getting pretty excited to see Invictus with Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. Oh and directed by Eastwood. Looks really good.

I saw the '95 Rugby World Cup on TV and it probably goes down as one of the greatest feel-good sporting events ever. Should be interesting how it's portrayed here amongst the backdrop of post-apartheid South Africa.

Funny movie related story. My buddy's sister convinced him to hold her spot on the Twilight lineup because she was at work. Kind of embarrassing but not the end of the world...until the local news shows up. Thankfully he had a blanket so he was able to hide, but they interviewed the girls next to him so he spent a couple minutes under the blanket.
