Watched Machete tonight. I liked Grindhouse, so I thought this might be pretty good, in the sense that this movie was made to be "bad." And I wasn't disappointed. Very enjoyable and entertaining for this genre. Plus, Lindsey Lohan shows a lot of naked boob - which I didn't even know that she was going to do that. Man, her career really must have gone down the drain for her to be exposing nipple in a movie. Anyway, definitely college dormhouse fun. Go get it.
I also rewatched Starship Troopers today. That was also a terrible awful, yet awesomely fun movie. My 5th (or so viewing) was just as good as the first.

So my kid got into Lego Batman for the Wii, so I found a 4-disc collection of all the old Batman movies on eBay for only $12. Good deal, and they were kind of cool to watch again, especially with my son.
So Lego Batman, turns into Lego Star Wars on the Wii and I'm flipping channels and run into Fan Boy (or Fan Boys). It's a really good comedy about Star Wars freaks. Their buddy is dying of cancer and they hatch a plan to break into George Lucas' ranch and steal Star Wars Episode 1 (supposedly before it was released in theaters). Lots of good actors in here. Jay Baruchel (She's out of my league) appears with Kristin Bell. Seth Rogan appears as a Trekkie/Trekker and is hilarious (and also appears later as a pimp). There is also a cameo by William Shatner, who basically does his, "I'm Denny Crane" attitude, which is great! The black dude from Hot Tub Time Machine and the Office was in it, at the end, and some other funny dudes are in this as well. I almost didn't watch it and surely would not have, if it wasn't for my kid playing Lego Star Wars. I actually recommend it if you are looking for a comedy while you are drinking.
So...anyone see it?
Anyone else watching any movies?

Machete was fun to watch - did well financially, so looks like there will be a sequel. The full boob shots of Lohan (like the pool scene) was a body double.

How do you know? Why would a director allow for that? Seems odd for a girl who shows off her cookie to photographers on purpose when she gets out of a limo.

Call me skeptical, but that was a link to a message board, not actual proof. I haven't heard of a body double being used any time recently, so I'm not buying it. Plus, I can totally believe that LL would agree to do that in order to get in a successful movie with Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, that famous director, and other famous people in order to revive her career.

Saw it a few weeks ago, but forgot to say something - The Fighter was an awesome movie. Christian Bale plays a phenomenal crack addict, and I don't mean that jokingly, really impressive.

Myself, I was skeptical of the pool scene - you could clearly see the mother's face, but LL (or whoever the double was) seemed to be extra careful not to show her face.

LL did nudes for vanity fair, or some similar magazine. If you have doubts about her rack in the movie, shouldn't be 'hard' to compare the two. well, four.
