OK, I just got back from Two for the Money.
It was pretty good, I had really high hopes and it didn't meet my lofty expectations but it was still a damn good flick.
First off, Matthew McConaghey was pretty damn awesome in this I thought it was awesome how they showed his character being consumed. Pacino was pretty good, but not as crazy as I was expecting. All of the action was pretty good and it showed a really nasty side of betting on football, but I felt that there wasn't enough going on. I expected them to show McConaghey living more of a crazy, high-octane lifestyle. While he did have a good time, he wasn't nearly as wild as I was expecting. I also didn't like how Pacino kept riding him like he was the Golden Boy and not forcing him to take account for any of his mistakes.

Definetely worth the 10 bucks.

8.4/10

Watched Lords of Dogtown last night and while it was okay on it's own I found it very disappointing because I saw the documentary that tells the full story a few months ago and it was much more interesting than the Hollywood version...

Saw the Wallace and Grommet movie this weekend because it was playing on the one screen theatre next to my house. If you have kids, this is a good one - the adult humor is nicely intermixed and the plot comes off as clever rather than annoying.

Yeah, the documentary is waaaaay better than the Hollywood version! I guess they figured the "glammed-up" story would make someone some money...they should have just re-released the original.

We threw in White Men Can't Jump last night. That always cracks me up. Obviously not the best movie in the world..and only so much of Rosie Perez you can stand...but is good for a laugh..

'we just can't have it Billy Ho'. ;-D

saw Anacondas: hunt for the blood orchids...

meh, pretty crappy... weak acting, stupid plot, and sub par special effects.

3.5 outta 10- def. skip this one

Finally watched Citizen Kane for the first time...truly an amazing movie...also saw Sideways. The guy in it will always be "Pig Vomit" to me, but all around a good movie. I love that it's filmed by where I went to college...the central coast of California is absolutely beautiful!
