Took Dude's and BrutallyHuge's advice and watched Batman Begins yesterday. Great movie, good action and acting, good direction and story. They could have done better than Katie Holmes though, the movie would have been better with a stronger actress in her role. Overall she wasn't too annoying.
Most of the Batman movies go overboard on the dark, brooding sets and this one was no exception, by the end of the movie I was ready for the sun to come out. I know this was the mood they were trying to set, it just got a bit tiresome. If only they could have got Nicolas Cage to play the role of Batman, now THERE would have been a movie .
Took the wife to see Domino tonight... It's a Tony Scott (Man on Fire director) film and I thought it was pretty good... Violence is very gritty, camera work is interesting, characters are cool...

No that isnt out yet. I saw the preview and it looks pretty good.
This weekend, I went to the theater to catch and flick for the first time in ages. I never realized how badly the chairs at my AMC suck!
Anyways, I saw DOOM. It stunk, don't waste your $7-$9 on it. Movie was boring and most of the action was lame. The movie didnt portray the game at all. Only cool part was the BFG, which they didn't use hardly enough. If you liked the Resident Evil movies then this movie is for you.
I watched DOOM on Friday. I've dug most of The Rock's movies, and while DOOM ain't great... or good... or maybe even average... I might watch it again if I could do it for free. I don't know much about the game, so I can't say whether or not it "stayed faithful", but it just plain 'ol wasn't very good.
Edited to Add: I did think that the last scene in DOOM was cool... the first-person deal leading up the "boss fight", or "final battle", or whatever you wanna call it.
...but dammit, I dug those Resident Evil movies. I don't care what y'all say about 'em.

'CUNA-MANIA IS RUNNING WILD! "You will be a king here, instead of a peasant at the Cafe."
I saw Ray, which was a very, very good movie. 9/10
I saw the Fantastic 4, which I thought was funny and exciting, but not nearly as good as Batman Begins or the Spider Man movies. So 7.5/10
I also saw Million Dollar Baby for the first time. I can see why it one best picture, it was incredible, and unexpectedly sad. I'll go with the rare 10/10.

Flockers - you following me to the movie store and picking the same stuff as me again?
I too picked up Unleashed and Batman Begins this weekend. I haven't watched the Bat yet so I will reserve judgement for now.
Unleashed was a really good flick I thought. The action scenes were awesome (as in just about all Jet Li films) and while the whole "dog" character of Li was a bit hard to believe I thought it worked well if you could get past the belief issues... 8/10
