I could see 88 happening (even with Jolley as a stubborn road-block) but Moss has already put a lot of memories on #84 so I'd be real surprised if he doesn't end up with it. I don't think anyone associates 84 with Porter (even Raider fans). Porter will get some nice Benjamins and take another number. Another thought also. Porter just re-signs with Oakland. At that point does he assume he's still #1 or is he given a heads up? Couple days later: Moss coming to town? Haven't heard a peep from Porter yet. I'm thinking if Porter has a real problem with the deal, then we'll hear from him quickly.

According to Raiders fans, Porter was just on local radio and said he'll gladly give #84 to Moss and he called up Tim Brown to ask if he could wear #81. Brown said it would be an honor to let him wear it but Porter said he would take it only if Brown offered it personally. Sounds like Porter is fully on board. Smart guy.
