All you guys hyping Calico as the Titan's #1 WR are in for a rude awakening next year... Bennett is OBVIOUSLY, I mean BLANTANTLY obviously, going to be the #1 option in Tennessee next year. Calico was a 2nd year WR last year coming off a 20 something catch rookie season. He was placed on the IR before the season really even got underway and everyone and their cousin are hyping him as the next great thing. The guy is still basically a rookie! Bennett is the guy who has quietly increased his receptions, yardage, touchdowns, etc. every year in his SEVERAL years in the NFL. The last time the Titan's were in the playoffs McNair trusted Bennett enough to pass him the ball multiple times when the game was on the line.
Hmm, up-and-coming veteran versus inexperienced rookie, I wonder who gets the looks? McNair will be looking to Bennett just like Volek was looking to him when Mason was injured in the last few weeks of the season. There are big indicators out there that the only thing holding back Bennett was the presence of Mason (NFL reception leader in 2005). Expect big things out of Bennett in 2005 now that Mason is gone, his opportunity in Tennessee just turned into a goldmine of targets.... Bennett has the talent to produce bigtime.
