The Carolina Panthers have released wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad, ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports.

Muhammad

The team had until Wednesday to make a decision about Muhammad, who would have been owed a $10 million bonus.

Muhammad caught 93 passes for 1,405 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, his best by far since he joined Carolina in 1996 out of Michigan State.

Of course no surprise here. The big question now becomes where he ends up.

For some reason i don't see colbert as a go to guy,i seethe Panthers going after a big WR in free agency or the draft

Vikings or Washington would be the most obvious destinations.

Colbert and Smith should be able to handle the one-two spots without Moose, so long as Smith is healthy.

I'm with Dr DD on this, those guys should do pretty well I think.Colbert may even break top 15 this year without Mushin around.

I agree. Colbert has the talent and skills to become a good 2nd-tier WR soon. But, as of right now. He should be consider 3rd-tier for fantasy purposes.

C-Pepp would sure look good throwin to Mush up in Minny ;-D

I dont have a link but I read something at fanball stating that if moose was released it was doubtful Colbert would become the #2 because the Panthers would not want two smallish receivers on the field.

I think he performed pretty well though and I saw him run a lot of possesion type routes. Man, I cant wait until March 2nd when many of these questions will get answered.
