Clear backgrounds

How do you make it so there is no background? So the avatar/sig background color will take to whatever color the site you're applying it to?

if you are talking about what i think...you make your layer transparent and then save it as a GIF file

This is correct...but if you find that the av/sig looks like it has weird splotches around the outside, then you should use a "matte" that matches the background color you are putting the picture on. I can't remember what color the normal Cafe grey is without looking on Photoshop, but I want to say DCDCDC...

If you use Photoshop, the "matte" option is on the "Save for Web" screen underneath the blur option. click on there and put in a greyish color and you should be all set.

I'm not sure if this would work, but could you get the color code of the cafe background (like "000000") and put that in the background of the sig so it's transparent that way? Maybe I'm off on this one.

There are two different colors used on these posts,in case ya didn't know.If you matched one it wouldn't exactly match the other.

ive actaully considered doin the same thing til i remebered there were 2 different colors . good thought tho meshawn
