Postby MeShawn » Mon Feb 28, 2005 4:26 pm

Yup, that's the new abreviation, Offseason Discussion of the Week

Here are the results from last weeks discussion

As you could have guess (or seen), we got a huge variety of results. Next year's RB class will be a jumbled mess. Makes for good debate, huh? ;-)

(In no particular order before this group of guys: LT, SA, Edge, Willis, and Priest)

1. Ahman Green (2.18)
2. Deuce McAllister (3.00)
3. Jamal Lewis (3.82)
4. Corey Dillon (4.09)
5. Clinton Portis (4.09)

6. Dominick Davis (5.09)
7. Chris Brown (7.82)
8. Kevin Jones (8.55)
9. Rudi Johnson (9.09)
10. Julius Jones (11.18)
11. Curtis Martin (11.27)
12. Tiki Barber (11.55)
13. Brian Westbrook (11.55)

14. Stephen Jackson (11.91)

Ties are in green

Thanks to all who particpated, it was a great discussion. And it is made into a pretty good cheet sheet. For all those who want to see the original thread, VOILA.

More to come...

Nice post. It's kind of weird not seeing Fred Taylor's name anywhere on the list.

I have Fred Taylor right on the cusp, but I consider him 3rd tier. As for Edge, he's 1st tier, without a doubt.

Sorry, I edited my post before you responded. I didn't realize Edge was in the 1st tier until just after my original post. Yeah, I agree that Edge should be in the 1st tier.

Great list - I'd have to put Taylor up there too, but who knows at this point.

Is Edge really first tier without a doubt? He doesn't score that many TDs, as the run seemed to take a back seat to the pass in the colts offense when in the redzone.

Also, I don't see how McGahee is first tier above some of the other guys in the second tier.

Nice work Meshawn...I love the idea. And I will apply it to my Sheet. ;-D

Good guideline for the jumbled mess that comes after the top 5. 6-20 is all preferences. The closeness of all these guys makes the list a great compilation.

I gotta think if Dillon goes at 4 in the 2nd tier,Martin has to be bumped way up.If you are going to risk taking younger unproven guys like McGahee,J Jones and KJ so early, you have to lump the older vets together.

Nice compilation MeShawn. Please keep these discussions up during the offseason. Perhaps we can keep a running tally of these in a single post as well for easy reference down the road.
