KFFL has learned, from a source close to the team, Minnesota Vikings vice president of football operations Rob Brezinski has shot down any rumors of a reported trade involving the Vikings sending RB Michael Bennett and their 2005 second-round pick to the Arizona Cardinals for WR Anquan Boldin.

That statement really means nothing, has an equal chance of being true or not true.

I think it would be great fit for both teams. Green has always been enamored with Bennett and they would still have a nice WR tandem there. The Vikes would also have a nice 1-2 combo with the BBs to throw to in Boldin and Burleson.

Bottom Line: the Vikings would not do this while Burress is still on the market.

If Boldin would play out his rookie contract they could get him very cheaply compared to Plax. Why in the crap do they need Bennett anyway? The guy is useless. If I was in the Viking front office I would jump for joy at the possibility of pawning him off on some sucker.

I would be alot happier if it was for Fitzgerald. Boldin came out of nowhere and then pretty much went back to mediocrity. I think he's one of those guys who blew up out of sheer necesity, much like Mushin Last year, but anyway. I am not real excited about Boldin coming, but at least we would get rid of some clutter in the backfield.

There is no way that Denny Green would give up Fitz.

As for Boldin, you cant really use last year as any sort of measuring device. He was hurt for the majority of the season and was never really fully healthy after he came back.

I am with the people who feel that Denny Green will not trade away either one of his blossuming WR's. For anybody.
