I have no idea what happened, but when I clicked submit it deleted my entire, quite lengthy post. Damn computer!
Anyways, I'm proud of the moves that have been made of late. Two great signings that should take away our LB problems. Pisa Tinoisamoa is moving to safety (I'm not sure how that will work out), Thomas is moving to OLB (he still has plenty of potential), and Polley is likely to leave (good riddance)- so it was logical that we needed to make some moves.
Coakley provides a veteran leader who knows how to tackle and play defense, as well as contribute to special teams. Although I think we have signed him for too long, and he will be feeling the wear and tear in a few years, his presence will certainly be a positive impact in grooming the younger guys. Claiborne should provide a viable defender over the middle, his play may have been a bit inconsistent in the past, but he gives the defense a much-needed boost.
Free agency still has several possibilites in improving the team. We're apparently going to make a run at Bhaweh Jue, a CB who admittedly I'm not too familiar with. DT John Parella is a possible target, as well as one of the veteran OL on the market. Of course the next step is the draft, where there are plenty of intriguing picks to improve with.
