Bingo. At least now we know who Priest's handcuff is now. DB is nothing to sneeze at either with the Jets who have a pretty solid Oline to run behind. I really like this pickup for them.

A good signing by the Jets, as long as they don't ignore the RB position in the draft. Blaylock doesn't appear to have feature back stuff and C Mart isn't going to be around much longer. Now would be a good time for them to groom a RB.

a downgrade from jordan...but could have been a lot worse. i...like many others....am interested in seeing how he performs without KC's line. he doesnt really impress me though.
I think this is a very good signing by the JETS. Whether Blaylock is a good RB or was made a good RB by the Chief's O-line, why not give him a chance to suceed. I'm sure C-Mart has some good advice to give the guy and they could groom him to take C-Marts place is he retires, gets injured, etc.
I'm surprised to see the amount of you guys implying that Curtis Martin might not make it too well next season. I understand he is getting old, especially for a RB, but this was one of his best season's ever. And, I don't think it's going to go downhill to fast from there. I can see him definitly going later in next years draft, which can only make me happy because I'm going to be one of the crazy guys that picks him up. And, yeah, he could get injured, but look at his history. He's one of the toughest guys out there. I think if anything J.Bettis showed us this year that you can't factor in age as much as you think you can.
Pretty good signing by the Jets...their O-line is very good as well. Blaylock is worthy of a backup...and I'm pretty sure he can return kicks as well, just got shadowed by Dante Hall in Kansas City. The Jets didn't sign him believing he was their future or anything, just to backup CMart for the next several years until he is done. In the meantime they should start looking for a younger, franchise running back to take over after Martin. Blaylock doesn't have that talent.
Any RB that can rush for 200+ combined yards in a game, regardless of the system, has talent. Not necessarily as a guy you want to give 350 carries a year, but someone you want in every game making some plays for you.
Blaylock is probably the most talented change of pace back in the NFL and I think he will not only prove to be decent outside of KC, but excel in his role in NYJ. IF Curtis Martin breaks down they may be in trouble, but with Blaylock seeing 5 carries a game, will only improve on Martin's and the Jet's success IMO.

I agree that Martin is a phenomenal athlete but the law of averages is really becoming stacked against him. He's starting to get into uncharted waters and that's a bit of a worry for me at least.
