I really haven't heard much about Jon Kitna this off-season, so does anyone know if teams are looking at him? He had a solid season before taking a backseat to Carson, and I find it hard to believe that a team wouldn't give him a shot when guys like Trent Dilfer are being traded.
i totally forgot about him. he is more solid than most all the FA qbs on the market. he was pretty solid a couple of years ago...and im almost positive he can still produce. its for sure id feel more comfortable with him in there over guys like dilfer...maybe even boller
Well, truth is, I had thought about Kitna for the Browns, but in reality, the trade would never happen. The Bengals, while very confident in Carson Palmer's talent, will not get rid of the "Carson Insurance." And if they ever did, and then signed a Warner-type journeyman QB, they would not trade within their division. But why they haven't considered moving Jon Kitna to another team is beyond me...

I believe he is only costing us $1 million. Thats fantastic value for a proven backup who knows the system
Kitna really likes cincy, hes a family man and he is rooted in the community. I dont bet he likes a backup role, but he seems comfortable with it and doesnt want to be traded. Plus hes a great value.

His value was maxed at the begining of last offseason, but there was no way we were giving him up such great insurance before knowing what we had in Palmer.
At this point, I dont really know what we could get for him, Im sure if the right deal came along, we would definitely consider it, and hey, the offseason isnt over yet
