ESPN.com reports the Miami Dolphins have agreed to terms with free agent QB Gus Frerotte (Vikings). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

to replace the recently departed fiedler...

we all saw Frerotte come in and play for culpepper, so he still has something left.

Nothing against Frerotte, but if we could have Brad Johnson over him, I would be in heaven.

Without Moss, no need for Frerotte's arm. BJ's accuracy will be bliss.

Well, Miami has a good crop of receivers in Chambers, Booker and Thomson... so a deep-throwing Chambers might be a nice improvement (especially for Chambers). Who knows? Over AJ Feeley, Ferrotte might even get a chance to start. :-b

Fiddler would have to totally suck in order for Gus to take over his job. And with a new HC and new system(I suppose) Fiddler could get a free pass the first half season while he learns the new system. I don't think Frerotte can withstand the weekly pummling that starting QBs take.
