Free agent wide receiver David Terrell is about to move from the Windy City to the Big Apple. The New York Post reports that the former No. 8 overall pick in the 2001 draft will sign with the Giants this week. Terrell finished last season with 42 receptions for 699 yards and a touchdown for the Bears.

Terrell would likely enter the team's starting lineup along with fellow wideout Amani Toomer. Given his track record, David won't enter the season with any significant fantasy value. By signing Terrell, the G-Men seem to be indicating that they do not have interest in free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress even though he fired his agent following his last visit with the team.
This seems like a bad move for the Giants. The last thing Manning needs is an underachieving headcase to sidetrack his improvement.
