Giants: Terrell likely to sign

News
Free agent wide receiver David Terrell is about to move from the Windy City to the Big Apple. The New York Post reports that the former No. 8 overall pick in the 2001 draft will sign with the Giants this week. Terrell finished last season with 42 receptions for 699 yards and a touchdown for the Bears.

Views
Terrell would likely enter the team's starting lineup along with fellow wideout Amani Toomer. Given his track record, David won't enter the season with any significant fantasy value. By signing Terrell, the G-Men seem to be indicating that they do not have interest in free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress even though he fired his agent following his last visit with the team.

This seems like a bad move for the Giants. The last thing Manning needs is an underachieving headcase to sidetrack his improvement.

I do agree this is a bad move for the giants because they are not giving Manning the options he needs in order to succeed. But Terrell maybe just needed a change and could now play up to potential that is a big If though.

Guess they aren't getting Plaxico now...who's going to take the plunge? If the Vikings know what's good for them...one headcase to another?

I still say he should try the ATL. :-?

Poor Eli, you'd think the Giants would try to get him a receiver he can depend on instead of one who's going to continually cause him grief.

Wow....... :-? ........... :-t

David Terrell and Amani Toomer, that's really going to give opposing defenses headaches. From laughter, I mean. The G-Men needed a much bigger upgrade than this to help out Eli...good news for me though, I own Shockey in a dynasty league.
