Tue, 15 Mar 2005 17:04:40 -0800

The Cleveland Browns have announced they have agreed to terms with free agent LB Matt Stewart (Falcons) on a three-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

looks like they filled their LB need while switching to the 3-4. god move in my opinion. just glad it was stewart and not hartwell...

Dang... that's HOW many starters Cleveland has changed in the offseason?

I got to admit, Savage and Crennel making all the right moves...

cutting their entire d line?

making trent dilfer their starting qb?

signing baxter to a huge contract which he isnt worth in a CB rich draft and FA period?

cutting the one DB on your team that could tackle and had veteran experience?

i wouldnt say... "all the right moves", but its better than last year.

Very nice signing. We could always use a decent LB. I was hoping for Hartwell too but we still need 2 more quality guys if we are going to the 3-4.

And Savage has made some very good moves.

-Replacing Henry with Baxter ;-D
-Getting a vet QB to teach our future QB
-Signing two quality o-lineman. Biggest thing so far ;-D
-Getting rid of two underachieving and overpaid defensive lineman
-Adding a vet DT
-Upgrading our punter

Now I know these aren't earthshattering moves but it definately looks like things are improving
