What would you pay for a #1 receiver

Ward will earn $1,668,750 in salary this season.

I really like this guy. He is not a "me first" guy, and goes out and gets the job done. I can't believe that this is all they are paying him (for now).

That's because he plays in Pittsburgh...they seem to have a history of underpaying players. Blue collar area, blue collar team, blue collar salary... :-/

Believe me, I know all about the underpaying thing. :-t

Wow, at that salary he's more than a steal. Guys like him are the ones that deserve the big contracts that some of the loudmouths end up receiving. No justice in football sometimes.

I'm pretty sure he asked for one last year after Maddox got his...and I don't think he got it.

This year should be different though since Burress is gone... :-?

I guarantee he will be irked in these discussions and will want some form of compensation for management lowballing him last year. Face it, the guy deserved a raise, and was classy by actually reporting to training camp. In his shoes, I dont know if I would have done the same.

If the Steelers are smart, they'll pad his next signing bonus by quite a bit...

Does that includes the signing bonus money that he will be getting this year?
