Any Deadwood watchers out there?

Postby MadScott » Tue Mar 22, 2005 11:42 pm

Just wanted to see if anyone else out there watches the Deadwood series on HBO. It may seem blasphemous, but, I think it's better and way more intriguing than the Sopranos and doesn't take 1 1/2 years for new episodes.

Currently, the new season is really moving along with some nice twists being set up but, damn, last week was rough. Between all of the heavy dialog and Al having that probe stuck up his...err...rod, it was grueling! :-o Here's hoping things keep going. ;-D

I heard that is is super good, but I just don't watch enough TV... I am lucky if I even get to watch PTI or Sportscenter everyday.... and if my girlfriend is at my house, which she usually is more then me then it is an HGTV marathon!! :-o

Unfort I feel like shows like this I need to watch from the begining .. still haven't seen but the first 3 episodes of the Sapronos... Yikes ! :~(

I love Deadwood. Wife and I never miss it. Hell we reactivated HBO for it.

I got into it because it came on after the Sopranos, but I kind of lost track of it, maybe it was when the first season ended? I cant recall but I havent watched any for months.

You gotta love a show where they drop the F bomb every 10 seconds :-b
The thing I like about this show is the eerie feel it puts on you. Almost surreal ... ;-D

I like it, watched the whole first season, but no longer have HBO, so i'll have to catch up on re-runs this summer

Totally agree about the surreal feeling you get from the show. Historically speaking, they do nice work there as well.

It's not just the Fbomb either you freaking *rooster*sucker! ;-7

I was just curious if anyone else felt bogged down a little this year with some of the longer winded diotribes this season.

Just wanted to see if you all caught the season finale and if so what your thoughts were.

My .02: The season wrapped up a little too "nicely" for me. Something big is going to go down next season as there were too many good things that came out of the last episode.
