Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

I've been hearing rave reviews about this game, and it releases today. I'm probably picking it up on the weekend, but just wondered if anyone out there has it, or plans on getting it.

I hear from the commercial that the official xbox magazine gave it a 10 out 10, their first perfect score in who knows how long.

The game itself looks pretty good, but seeing as I just dropped 50 on Ghost Recon II two months ago and still haven't beaten it, I probably won't pick it up anytime soon.

I picked this game up today and im loving it. The grafics are just out of this world, and the AI is great. I never played the seccond one, but in commmparison to the first one this is just spctacular. So ofar it is the unpreditability of the enimies taht i really like, the dont just always walk the same routes, its really quite cool. the fact that u new have 2 types of gun and granades and things make it a much sicker game. the new EMP things that you have, to take out the lights is really cool, so that you dont always have to shoot em, making it silent.

If you have nay questins ill try to help you out, but i cant really guarentee much, becasue im not that acomplished of a gamer, and i dont know if im using all of the features of this game

I just got it today too..

It's definitely sweet. And I think I haven't even begun to unearth all of the possibilities yet, as I've only beat the first mission and haven't even played the series before. I find it weird though.. that when you zoom in with the rifle it's inexplicably harder to aim. I don't see the logic in that! I'll go have some more fun with it.

Heh - I picked up the original Splinter Cell when it first came out and I still haven't played it! :-o

I'll have to get started on that sometime and see what all the hype is about...

I picked up the first Splinter Cell used, played the first mission or two, and decided to never play it again. I am not a big fan of stealth games, but considering the hype around it, I decided to pick it up. It seems my first thoughts were right. No matter how cool, or advanced, or fun stealth games are, they will NEVER be fun for me. And if you don't have gamepla, you don't have a game.

Not to say anything about those who DO love Splinter Cell and stealth games... it just ain't my cup o' tea.

Here's a fun fact. Chaos Theory's soundtrack was composed by drum & bass artist Amon Tobin.
