Yes, you read correctly: The Cafe has changed hands.
When Madison said he returned from a recent trip to Shreveport with a little more money than he set off with, he certainly wasn't kidding: the Baseball Cafe's top poster came home with a cool one million dollars as the winner of the annual High Rollers Texas Hold Em Tournament, beating out more than 7000 competitors!
The day after his fantastic win, Madison approached us about acquiring the Cafe. While flattered, we were naturally reluctant to give up control of something that has been a true labor of love for the last several years, but Madison assured us that he has the very best interests of the Cafe and its community of members at heart. Besides, he made us an offer we couldn't refuse...
Madison plans to keep the Baseball Cafe as is, but will bulldoze the Football Cafe to make room for a new Fantasy Bowling Cafe, complete with the net's first Fantasy Bowling Leagues. Menyak and I will still be around as Madison's full-time employees, but Webhamster is still holding out for a higher contract.
