This really hurts Suggs value if what Savage says is true.

It sure seems like Suggs has the tools to carry the load.

From Fanball.com:

The Browns' acquisition of running back Reuben Droughns means the position will be a job share, according to GM Phil Savage. "We wanted to bring in somebody that would be different than Lee Suggs," Savage told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "We feel those two guys will be working in combination with each other. We think there's even a situation where maybe both can be on the field together."

OUR VIEW

If you're a believer in history repeating, it's worth noting that the last time Cleveland paired backs wearing jersey numbers 34 and 44, Kevin Mack and Earnest Byner both topped 1,000 yards. More likely, however, it means the fantasy value of both Droughns and Suggs will be subdued until one back emerges as the go-to guy.

This ain't great from a fantasy perspective, but I dig it for the Browns. Suggs and Droughns have different styles of running, which should compliment eachother well, methinks.

If it wasn't clear already with the Droughns trade to Cleveland, this effectively destroys both of their value. Cleveland isn't the most prosperous team offensively, and although their styles may help to complement each other it won't be any good for fantasy.

I've heard a couple of radio reports state that Droughns is being brought in to be the horse there in Cleveland. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out. He certainly isn't there to take Smith's spot at FB.

Apparently the Browns are trying to copy Pittsburgh... :*)

I don't know how it'll work. I guess they just don't feel comfortable with Suggs doing it all. Maybe that's why Green has been around for so long... :-?

I wouldn't be a very happy Lee Suggs owner at this point. :-o

I think Suggs will be the man if he can stay healthy, but he's had injury problems since college. Droughns proved to be an adequate backup in Denver but Cleveland doesn't have Denver's line. He's a bruiser though and Cleveland needs a RB in the mix that can put up with a lot of punishment.

Note to self no Cleve. RBs or Vikings of course.

I had Bennett last yr. and I just can't take the pain again.
First the Shock, then the Pistons can the Lions be next?

Well maybe next yr.

PS I didn't lose a paper bag challenge but somehow as a Lion's fan it just feels right.
