Leonard Little Acquitted of DUI Charge

Leonard Little was acquitted a short while ago by a jury in St. Louis regarding his DUI on Draft Day 2004.

My take: The defense was dominant in this case. The arresting officer did not follow procedures in the drunk arrest and accusations of Little's failure of the straight-line test and lack of balance was refuted by a backup officer on the scene.

Because of this officers failure to follow procedures, we'll never know if Little was intoxicated. I really hope he wasn't.

This is why the law sucks. People should not get off on techicalities, especially when they are multiple time offenders.

It's ridiculous. You could have a video tape of someone committing murder but if it wasn't processed correctly it's not admissible. WHAT?!?!

It sometimes (well always) angers me when technicalities allow someone to walk free, or to get a big time check when they don't deserve it. We never will know if he was guilty or not, but its only human for me to speculate that he really was when you consider his past.

the man killed a person while driving drunk and then proceeded to get behind the wheel drunk again. what rights does the person slaughtered by this scum bag have? youre not gonna sell that apologist drivel to me.

I can't believe that this guy even got a second chance after what happened. Just apparently goes to show you what getting a good lawyer can do. Technicalities? Yikes.

In my mind if you are innocent, why not take the test and prove it? You only refuse it if you have something to hide.

Needless to say I am not a Leonard Little fan.
