Packers re-sign Davenport.

Get him now in keeper leagues, he's going to be a top 15 back the next year when Ahman is gone.

he's one of the best backup RB's in the NFL. Good move for the Packers.

I agree he's great when healthy. but when is he healthy he has to be the most hurt player in the nfl and he only plays like 10 carries a game

Good to see them resign him, because in my opinoin he's probably going to be our starter next year.

I presume he'll be Green Bay's back of the future, a team that will look substantially different when Favre retires. I look forward to seeing him take over for Ahman, time will tell if the hype equals the talent.

Bleh, Davenport is a massive two year's younger than Ahman, so by the time Ahman is old Davenport will be just about there as well.

I can only imagine people are referring to Davenport taking over if GB loses Ahman to free agency, which as we've seen this offseason--with several guys in much more obvious cut situations than Ahman being resigned--is not very likely.

Thats what I'm saying, the Packers are obviously in rebuilding mode, so the likelyhood of Ahman being resigned for big money is pretty slim.

That was my point in bringing up this offseason. How often to teams really just let their star RB's go? This offseason that were three that seemed much more likely to be gone than Ahman and none of those three ended up going anywhere.
